In all that we do, we aim to create opportunities for our people, clients, and communities, while actively protecting the environment and conserving natural resources.

Policy Statement
POLICY AND PRINCIPLES
Our Approach
We operate an Integrated Management System (IMS) that brings together our Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards. This includes detailed procedures for the procurement, delivery, and completion of our works in line with our HSEQ objectives. The system is available to employees, clients, and external stakeholders upon request.
We proactively identify and manage our significant environmental impacts, and share this information with interested parties as appropriate.
Environmental Commitments
We are committed to continuous improvement in both our environmental performance and client satisfaction. To support this, we:
-
Maintain and regularly review the effectiveness of our Integrated Management System;
-
Set clear environmental objectives as part of our annual Management Review and communicate them across the business.
Sustainability in Practice
BDM Construction is committed to building a more sustainable future by:
-
Reducing carbon emissions through smarter logistics, local procurement, and low-carbon technologies;
-
Improving resource efficiency, including energy and water usage, across all sites and offices;
-
Sourcing responsibly, favouring materials and suppliers that support circular economy principles and ethical practices;
-
Embedding social value, including supporting local employment, apprenticeships, and community engagement initiatives;
-
Designing for the future, working with clients to deliver buildings that are energy-efficient, resilient, and adaptable.
Sustainability is embedded in our culture, shaping decisions at every level of the business, from strategic planning to site-level operations.
